Being one of the biggest education systems in the world, India is producing 3.1 million graduates every year. The number is not a major concern; rather, how many of them are employed, is a major concern. As per the survey of National Association for Software Services Companies (NASSCOM), only 30 to 31 percent of the engineering graduates are employable in the industry. Now the question we have in front of us is what happens to the remaining graduates. |

In India, despite having such a large number of graduates passing out of colleges each year, we are not able to fill the vacancies in the industry. This is mainly because soft-skill training among graduates is comparatively less in India. There is a huge gap between indsustry needs and and academic training. |

The target is the millions of graduates who have the real energy to make this mission a reality. What is needed is "hand holding", a mentoring process by which we can make them become "Job Ready". The business model is to convert the human population into human potential and make them become employable in the areas of their expertise. |

GradFirst has developed many programmes for each category of students in science, commerce, engineering and management disciplines and have tied up with prospective employers who are interested in hiring this "skilled" workforce. GradFirst plays the role of an enabler in the whole business model. On completion of the program, a certificate is issued to the student and candidate’s profile is uploaded in the online database. This database can be accessed by employers anywhere in the world. So it acts like a passport for employment for the students anywhere in the world. Further, this database provides an easy access to the authentic skilled manpower to the employers. |

We have built the unique business model for GradFirst in the form of a golden triangle and the delivery model has three layers in the pyramid as shown in the figure below. We have designed the pyramid in such a manner that three layers of services are delivered to the students. The BoP takes care of the basic needs of the students in the form of softskilling while the MoP and ToP take care of the mid and higher layer of the skills empowerment by way of suitable reskilling and upskilling. The subjects are designed in line with the course curriculum of the students’ viz., Science, Commerce, Engineering and Management etc. |
